Here is one of my favourite Levi’s 501XX 1966 model wearing to work. Hasn’t been washing since a year ago, so far he has no odour. Light weight denim with the tapered silhouette. Worn since 2009. 7 years 10 months old. Size 30/32. 9 washes. Hand-painted NASA “Spacewalk of Gemini”. Not forgetting my beloved trucker jacket from my late father.
Any changes on my denim? Some fadings on distress areas like side of knees. Confirmed honeycombs. mild whiskers and sick hard line on leg cuffs. My top was Levi’s 1955 7oz Sawtooth Denim Shirt and Converse Chuck Taylor All Star. Will capture some closeup soon. Size:31 /// 1 soak /// no wash /// worn 5 days per week /// 14.5oz Kurashiki selvedge denim /// Eternal’s 15th Anniversary
Getting to feel more comfortable with the irregularity denim now. The regular straight silhouette of the 1950’s is really beautiful. It is better on climbing stairs ( 2 steps /stride) comparing to 883. And while everyone is wearing tight skinny for trend sake, one should try the tradition cutting! You can see now the honeycombs and whiskers are taking shape and they are much more bigger than 883. Those are the unique differences of a regular straight jeans. My top is Levi’s Vintage Jacket 70505-0217 trucker jacket.
Worn 5 days/week. 1 soak. Size 31.
